I use a variety of techniques to apply my paints to the canvas in different ways. These methods of application help to create expressive and energetic paintings that have lots of vibrancy and movement. One of my painting techniques involves dripping diluted paint vertically down the canvas to create a large abstract artwork like the one you see here.
This drips and stripes painting transitions from densely packed lines of paint at the top of the canvas to nearly white at the bottom. However, I have only signed this canvas on the back and not the front so if you preferred you could hang the painting the other way up, or even on its side, with the drips and stripes going horizontally.
